Religion

http://whitelightechoes.blogspot.com/2010/04/story-on-religion.html
By my good friend Alex, who was inspired by yet another arcticle which is already linked in the arcticle above.

I am a Christian, I wasn't raised in that way, quite on the contrary. My parents are quite anti-religious. They think faith is something pretentious and religious people as badly informed people who will try to brainwash you every single second. They are misinformed and so was I.

How I did get to become a christian is a totally different story. It's long too so I'm not writing that down right now. The belief in God as an all-loving omnipotent being has helped me and given me much strength over the years. It really helped me tremendously but that, again, is a different story.

Sadly I cant really express what I wanted to say, what I wanted to convey to you people like this. I just realised this.
So this is it, this blog entry tells you nothing. I was going to write about the Islam and how much respect Ive lately gained for the religion. Yes, Christian God and Musim God are one and the same. But again I cannot properly get anything properly written down right now.

God bless

Inactivity

Dear readers (all flippin' four of them)

I'm sorry for not being active at all lately. This led to the fact that you've had to miss these incredibly great top-of-the-line blog entries for quite some time. I have been really busy with non-awesome activities (School, disease, cleaning my room) as well as awesome ones (My girlfriend, not school, smoking weed, making a mess of my room).
So yeah. I am probably going to start writing soon. If I don't I'm probably having too much fun.
Sorry and Love you!

Irony

A couple of hours after completing my last arcticle I stumbled upon this.
Sheesh

Space...The final frontier

Lyrics: And what comes next
A chance to save ourselves
Imagine magma encrusted in rock
And on the surface of this world
All eyes are on the clock
All our empires, our philosophies
Our practiced faiths, our revolutions
Our proud sciences are but a flickering
In one day of the lives of the stars

We can breathe in space
They just don't want us to escape
We can breathe in space
They just don't want us to escape

And what comes next
The constellations, yes, all 88 of them
A chance to save ourselves
Like the G8, they meet to procrastinate
Greetings, we are an infant species
Crawling into our own premature decline
The north star is chairing the meeting
He knows we're spoilt
And he's sniggering at our histories

We can breathe in space
They just don't want us to escape
We can breathe in space
They just don't want us to escape

The hollow proposals mean we'll migrate
But they'll bleed us dry until the 11th hour
And when dawn breaks I'll sit and stagnate
With this metric tonne on your shoulders
How do you cope
We are an infant species
Crawling into our own premature decline
The north star is chairing the meeting
He knows we're spoilt
And he's sniggering at our histories

Let's prove the stars wrong
We've got to do this

I find it hard to believe that we are alone

Okay so apart from this being an awesome with awesome lyrics back to the real deal.
I mean science is really important and the development of new technologies is what has been keeping us alive for an unfair amount of time (+Jesus Christ but no Christian bias in this arcticle) but sometimes I just think we're being stupid. We have a tendency to invest money rather strangely and our priorities seem to be rather off at times (We invest more money in the olympics than in cancer research on a yearbasis) But some stuff just gets to me.

Let me elaborate with a survey.

You are the american government. What will you spend a whole lot of money on that you still had laying around somewhere.

A) Cigarettes for Obama
B) A little extra development aid

...
If you answered C you are, sadly, right.
I mean okay rocket science is pretty cool and this http://image24.webshots.com/24/4/61/75/36646175yjffBc_ph.jpg might have been relevant somehow.
But what really gets to me how people pump so much money in NASA research that in the end leads to trivial and often nonconclusive results. Obviously we can spend our money a whole lot better instead of researching the history of the universe. If you read through the missions NASA is on you'll find that the goal very often is little more than to "improve understanding of the universe."
They really fail to show why exactly we need this right now.

Stop NASA bull

I don't feel like politics today

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lgw4liRzmQ8&feature=related
Everyone should see this whether you are into anime (like me) or not at all (like George W. Bush... Probably) I suggest you watch this. It's an anime called nekojiru-so (Nay-koh-hi-ru-so. AKACat Soup). It's really delightful and the full movie will only take like half an hour of your time so please do yourselves a favour, watch it and tell me what you think.

Geert Wilders pt. 1

http://www.youtube.com/watch#v=BgQdZgojOFI&feature=related
This is a link to the movie Fitna. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1198399/) The movie was made by Dutch right-wing politician and owner of the worst haircut in the world (Hipocrisy) Geert Wilders.
Before reading the rest of this blog, please watch the video.

This is a link to the youtube hit "Surprised Kitty (original). It seriously lacks an imdb entry [ >:( ]. I dont know who the fuck created this artwork but it's probably one of the best things you're going to see in a while (Unless you're Keira Knightleys personal assistant).
Before reading the rest of this blog, please watch the video.

There are 2 reasons why I show you these movies in this order

1- Fitna makes you sad, cat makes you happy
2- They have the same amount of content, which should be shocking.

But then again it really isn't. Geert Wilders has proven to be a bit of an attention whore. He reigns the Dutch media in such a way that it makes it impossible to normally follow politics.
But Geert Wilders is a very serious issue. Because what he says is utter bullshit. He's fighting war with war and he creates more vicious cycles than should be possible. He also sometimes decides "I dont really feel like being a politican today so I'm not going to do my job which would be attending this debate" (http://www.youtube.com/watch#v=nVatHP4cgTQ&feature=related)
Of course it wasn't a big deal considering the debate was only about a minor issue (The economical crisis). In other words he's a terrible politician with extreme foreign-o-phobia and is extremely content with being on TV.
And a whole lot of people will vote for him.

See this simply frightens me. The fact that Geert Wilders is the icon of right wing politics is simply scary. Don't get me wrong, even though I am more of a communist (as he would say it) I do not hate right-wing ideology and I can definetly see where they are coming from. But if Geert Wilders is the representative of right-wing politics what kind of ignorant fools are these voters?
Is it all a cruel joke? Or are we experiencing a breakthrough in intolerance towards eachother?
What is right-wing Holland thinking?

Conscious man unite!

Fuck man
I just woke up to a land where killing is part of everyday
And every mind in this "Intelligent species"
Is then blinded into the battlefield
Like it's natural for us to break instead of build

"Prudence of wars are a redemptive cause"
I've never heard such nonsense under international laws
We think we have the right to enforce democracy
While we're weakening ours everyday, what hypocrisy

[Fanfare for the Conscious man]
I have decided to care
I will be forever against this
Thats why I'm starting this blog.

My opinion isn't really interesting
But you might be interested in my opinion
